Architecture | 2008
The decision to study Architecture at UIC Barcelona was key in my career because it opened doors to me internationally.
It’s been 15 years since I graduated and 21 years since I started school. I remember with nostalgia those years of curiosity, great friendships and very good professional references.
As the name of UIC Barcelona indicates, the international character of the University encouraged me to go beyond the peninsula to begin working in Barcelona, go on to Scotland and finally finish as a partner and project manager in Singapore, for SOG design.
I am reminded of Vicenç Sarrablo’s phrase during my graduation ceremony in 2008. He urged us not only to be good architects, but to be architects that are good – that is, good people – essential in a profession as human as ours.
